Screener was created by Ayush and Pratyush Mittal (brothers) in 2009. Their father, an investor since the 1980s, inspired them to create Screener to discover small growing companies available at bargains. Initially, they manually downloaded and printed quarterly results, but Pratyush automated the process through coding, evolving it into the mass utility tool, Screener.in. Both brothers pursued full-time investing after completing their Chartered Accountancy, focusing on in-depth research and quality scuttlebutt.
