Description
The University, through the setting up of this centre, aim to conduct high quality research and training in frontier areas of pathogen biology. The research at BRTC focuses to enhance knowledge on infectious diseases on animals, for the development of vaccines and improved therapeutics for animal health care. In parallel the centre provides capacity building in the above areas of research by conducting workshops and training programmes to generate a high quality and immediately employable work force with knowledge relevant to the present industrial needs. BRTC envisions to set up a Research Centre - Molecular Virology Lab and Anti-Microbial Resistant (AMR) Research Lab to undertake various studies related to Animal diseases. They also plan to set up a Small Laboratory Animal House to facilitate breeding & supply of Pathogen free as well as conventional small animals like mice, rats, gunny pig, rabbit etc including facilities for conducting experiments.
