Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
BharatSeal is built on public government data. We collect as little personal information as possible, never sell it, and never use it for third-party advertising. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What data we collect
The minimum to run your account — plus public company records that are already government data.
- ●Account data: your name, email and mobile number when you register, and the company you represent.
- ●Verification data you submit when claiming or verifying a profile (e.g. GSTIN, Udyam number, documents, OTP contact) — used only to confirm ownership and compute your trust signals.
- ●Messages and enquiries you send through the platform, so buyers and suppliers can transact.
- ●Company information shown on BharatSeal is sourced from public government registries (MCA21, GSTN, Udyam, DGFT). We do not scrape private or personal websites.
- ●Basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the product and detect abuse.
How we use your data
To operate the marketplace and keep it safe — never to sell you.
- ●To run your account and deliver the features you use, free or paid.
- ●To route enquiries and quotes between buyers and suppliers. Your phone number stays private until you choose to share it in a conversation.
- ●To send transactional messages — OTPs, invoices, account and security notices — over email and WhatsApp. Marketing messages are opt-in only.
- ●To verify businesses against government records and to detect fraud, spam and scraping.
- ●We never sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Company records on BharatSeal
Business registry data is public record — but you can claim and correct your own.
- ●Company name, CIN, GSTIN, registered address and director names come from public government databases and are treated as public record under Indian law.
- ●If information about your company is wrong, claim your profile and submit a correction — verified owners control what appears.
- ●Individuals named in MCA records can request removal of personal contact details from enriched profiles by emailing care@bharatseal.io with proof of identity.
Payments
We don't store your card. Razorpay does the processing.
- ●Paid plans and ad-wallet top-ups are processed by Razorpay. BharatSeal does not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
- ●We retain the transaction record and the GST tax invoice required by law. Invoices are issued by the GST-registered supplier, SUWIDHAA (GSTIN 29BCSPR1746M1ZN).
Data storage & security
Stored in India, encrypted in transit and at rest, least-privilege access.
- ●Data is hosted in India (Supabase, ap-south-1) with row-level security on every table.
- ●Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Secrets are hashed, never stored in plain text.
- ●Access to production data is restricted to authorised staff on a least-privilege basis and protected by authentication controls.
- ●No system is perfectly secure; we review security before major releases and respond to reported issues promptly.
Your rights
Access, correct or delete your data — consistent with the DPDP Act 2023.
- ●Access: request a copy of your account data by emailing care@bharatseal.io.
- ●Correction: update most profile and account details directly from your dashboard settings.
- ●Deletion: email care@bharatseal.io to close your account and delete personal data; we action requests within a reasonable period (target: 7 business days), subject to legal record-keeping (e.g. tax invoices).
- ●These rights are consistent with the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
