About

The Calcutta Tea Traders Association (CTTA) was formed on 15th September 1886 to foster the interests of the tea trade. Its principal objective is to promote the common interest of sellers, buyers, and brokers of tea in the Calcutta market. The association is managed by a General Committee comprising seller, buyer, and broker members, with the posts of Chairman and Vice-Chairman alternating between buyer and seller members. The General Committee is assisted by several Sub-Committees. The association's expenses are met by annual subscriptions from its members.
