About
Cable Corporation of India (CCI) is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of power and control cables. Established in 1957 by the Khatau and Thakersey groups in collaboration with German companies Siemens and F&G, CCI was the first to manufacture PVC insulated wire and cables in India. The company later set up a second plant in Nashik and is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure. CCI has been represented in CIGRE, Paris, and forums like BIS and IEEMA. Its Tropothen-S® XLPE cables have received IEC-840 Certification from KEMA, Netherlands, and its testing laboratories are approved by the South African Standards Institution. The company is ISO-9001 certified and has exported products to South Africa, Bangladesh, Mauritius, and the Middle East. CCI's technocrats were pioneers in using Aluminium as a substitute for Copper and have worked with Railway and Defense authorities to manufacture special cables. Research and development have been a focus, contributing to industry standards. The company has also ventured into real estate through its associate company, CCI Projects Private Limited.
