About
Orient Group of Companies consists of Orient Processors Pvt Ltd, Orient Spun Silk and Processing Mills and Orient Knitfab Pvt Ltd. The maiden venture of the group Orient Processors Pvt. Ltd was set up in the year 2001 to manufacture cotton dyed yarn. A post spinning and processing unit was born out of a desire to make quality cotton yarn available for the weavers of North Eastern Region of India. Weaving has been an integral part of Northeast India. However, the unavailability of quality raw materials impeded the commercialization of the handloom sector. ‘Ramdhenu’ cotton yarn from Orient Processors filled this critical gap. With Orient yarn, we have been able to make lives easier for weavers. This is our most significant socio-economic contribution. Orient Spun Silk and Processing Mills produces modal and micro-modal yarn in the brand name of ‘REISHMI’, Eri Silk (Peace Silk) as the brand ‘ERICA’ and Mulberry Silk as ‘Orient Pat’. Having all varieties of yarn in hand encouraged us to set up our third unit ‘Orient Knitfab Private Ltd.’ to produce diversified handloom products branded as ‘OrFab’.
