Hindustan Salts Limited, a Govt. of India Enterprise, was incorporated on 12th April 1958 to take over salt sources at Sambhar, Didwana, and Kharaghoda. It is the only Central Government Public Sector undertaking engaged in the manufacture of salt in India.
