In line with the pursuits of Government of India towards Make in India and Start-up India, AIC-SMU Technology Business Incubation Foundation (AIC-SMUTBI) was set up as one of the 100 world-class incubators envisioned by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog Government of India in September, 2018. It is the first Atal Incubation Centre in North-East India and is located inside the campus of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, at the pristine location on the banks of river Teesta. AIC-SMUTBI persistently encourages young entrepreneurs to hone their skills in generating valued human resources rather than the traditional manpower that feeds need of the industry. We admit young entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that have market potential by mentoring them to become employers rather than being employees until they graduate from this incubation centre after a gestation period of approximately 2 years.
