Tactile Membrane Keyboard

Tactile Membrane Keyboard is designed to provide feedback to users. They are made up of stainless steel domes mounted on printed circuit board.These dome mounted PCBs are covered by suitable graphic overlay, typically reverse printed on polyester / polycarbonate film. Whenever a button is pressed, it completes the circuit and also provide degree of response to the user. Various size and shape of metal domes are available with different actuation force. Gold and nickel plated domes are used for high reliability and less resistance. The life expectancy of such Tactile Membrane Keyboard is over 1 million cycles.The diagram shown aside gives a clear view of a typical Tactile Membrane Keyboard.
