Infinity was launched at a time when the Indian market was being besieged by global and everything international was in vogue. If decorative crystal showpieces and costume jewelry was going to survive then the entire working methodology had to be concise, exhaustive and yet practical.
**Infinity - One of its kind in India**
Retailing of branded imported Decoratives - in India - was still in a nascent stage. Infinity however blazed the trail with modern technology and management techniques. Infinity was the only company - in India - handling the entire operation from import to managed retailing in a professional and scientific manner.
**Centralized Management**
Infinity developed a novel method by which the entire operation could be managed centrally. This means that the top management can avail real- time information and analysis of the business and dictate immediate changes in structure and strategy of the operation.
**Making IT work for us**
The Centralized management methodology was enabled by complete automation of business operations. Infinity hosted a separate in-house software development facility, which allowed customization of software to immediate requirements.
**The Software**
The software has 2 modules - one primary module meant for the Head office in Calcutta and several secondary modules meant for the regional offices in the various strategic regions of India.
- The secondary modules were designed to be capable of transmitting packets of information - on line - to the primary module at the head office
- The secondary modules were primarily for data entry and the primary module for data entry as well as management.
