How does the Prosthesis work?
If patients want to speak through a voice prosthesis, they have to take a deep breath through the hole, block the hole with a finger and then try to speak. Patients need to wear a scarf especially designed for them, over the prosthesis to prevent dust and any foreign body entering the airway. A scarf also gives a cosmetic cover to that area and gives confidence to the patients for any social appearances.

Device's Lifespan
