Food Grade Ethanol

Ethanol of food-grade quality is alcohol intended for human consumption. Therefore, it must adhere to stringent rules and regulations. Ethanol that is not intended for human consumption is frequently denatured for tax purposes; thus, food-grade ethanol is also known as non-denatured ethanol. Food-grade alcohol can be produced from a variety of agricultural commodities, including sugarcane, wheat, and sugar beets. However, food-grade alcohol is frequently referred to as grain ethanol.
