Monitoring total Trihalomethane (THM) content in drinking water National regulatory bodies set limits for the level of THMs in drinking water, and are tested on a regular basis at the customer’s tap. Regional and local authorities should take care of the THM levels in drinking water before distribution to public. They are Cancer Group B carcinogens (shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals).
