Design protocol
Share a 0.8mm thin-section brain CT scan via email. Get your custom flap design in one week, doctor-approved. Our rapid 3D printing ensures a ready-to-fix flap in two weeks, verified on a 3D patient skull model. Flap The flap will be of the same thickness of the model provided. Multiple holes will be created over the flap in order to prevent extradural collection of blood/serous fluid. Additional flanges can be provided on the flap on request to prevent sinking of flap in case fixatures fail.
Sterilization method
The flap will be delivered unsterilized. It needs to be sterilized before surgery. It can be either gas sterilized with ethylene oxide or can be placed in STERRAD (a hydrogen peroxide vapor and low-temperature gas plasma sterilization method).
