Oxolife is a small-sized clinical-stage biotech company, founded in 2013 by Ignasi Canals and Agnès Arbat, focused and committed to female fertility improvement. There is no pharmacological intervention in the market that enhances the implantation process through a direct effect on the endometrium. Oxolife’s innovation is a first-in-class oral drug for the treatment of infertile women, named OXO-001, that increases embryo implantation success and pregnancy rates. Currently, there is no specific drug commercially available for Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the most common endocrine disorder that affects 10-15% of childbearing age women. So far, the drugs that have been used to treat this syndrome have been directed at the symptoms but not at the syndrome itself.
