How they Work?
Organic waste (industrial effluent, sewage sludge, food waste) is fed into the digester. In the absence of oxygen, anaerobic microorganisms break down complex organic matter. The process produces biogas (used for energy generation) and digestate (used as fertilizer or compost). The system operates continuously or in batch mode under mesophilic (35–37°C) or thermophilic (50–55°C) conditions.
