MELTING & CASTING
Our company utilizes advanced oil fired/gas fired fixed hearth reverberatory melting furnace with regenerative burners, with a bath capacity of 6 MT. We operate two Hot Top Casting tables designed to cast billets with diameters of 5 inches and 7 inches . The molten metal undergoes treatment with different type of fluxes and eco-friendly nitrogen degassing, and its composition is determined using a Direct Reading Spectrometer. Raw materials, along with necessary master alloys of Silicon, Magnesium, Manganese, Copper and Chromium are charged into the melting furnace. Once the molten metal reaches the required temperature, dross is removed from the surface to create a clean bath. The molten metal is then cast into approximately 6-meter long aluminium alloy billets using the Hot Top Casting method. These billets are cut at both ends and fed into a gas fired homogenizing furnace, which aims to eliminate and reduce chemical element segregation, dissolve secondary phases, and improve the alloy’s microstructure and properties. The billets are subsequently cooled down in a cooling chamber and stored for use in the aluminium production process as required. This efficient and environmentally conscious process ensures the production of high-quality aluminium alloy billets ready for further processing and application.
EXTRUSION PROCESS
The extrusion process begins with the heating of aluminium billets, tailored to the specific alloy type for optimal malleability. These heated billets are then pushed through a pre shaped die, forming the desired profile. The extruded profiles are rapidly cooled using media such as air, fog, or water to set their shape and physical properties. Once cooled, the profiles are stretched to straighten them and relieve internal stresses. They are then cut to the required lengths. Rigorous inspections at every stage ensure that our extrusions meet the highest standards. With two in house PLC controlled hydraulic presses imported for 5-inch and 7-inch profiles , the company is equipped to cater to a wide range of requirements, from miniature profiles to large sized profiles, sections & bars.
