The Shree Prithvi Group started in 1956 when the MD, Mr. Jagan Nath Sharma, began working in a factory manufacturing sewing machine parts at the age of 11. He later worked at a lathe machine and joined a rolling mill in 1965 as a Foreman. Gaining extensive knowledge about window sections and other special sections, he developed a fuel-saving device for reheating furnaces. In 1983, he established Punjab Engineers & Fabricators to manufacture these devices. In 1990, he set up Shree Ganesh Rolling Mills for flats and bars. In 1992, Shree Prithvi Steel Rolling Mills Pvt. Ltd. was established for manufacturing iron and steel sections as per BIS Specification, bearing ISI No 7452, 2062 & ISO:9001 with the brand name PRITHVI using the latest proprietary technology. In 2004, an induction furnace was set up for manufacturing high-class mild steel and alloy steel ingots. Shree Prithvi Steel Rolling Mills (P) Ltd. is the Steel Hot-Rolling division of the group and is India's first automatic plant producing a wide range of standard and customized Mild Steel Window, Door, and Ventilator sections.
