Description
Cement is a binder, a substance used for construction that sets, hardens, and adheres to other materials to bind them together. Cement is rarely used by itself, however. Instead, it is a component of the composite materials used in buildings and civil engineering works such as bridges, canals, dams, airports, roads, and other infrastructure projects. The most common use of cement is in the production of concrete. Concrete is a composite material composed of fine and coarse aggregate bonded together with a fluid cement (cement paste) that really hardens over time.
