Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER is to be taken with food.

METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. Metoprolol is a beta blocker which works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which reduces stress on the heart and relaxes blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly.

warnings Alcohol UNSAFE It is unsafe to consume alcohol with METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER. warnings Pregnancy CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor. warnings Breastfeeding SAFE IF PRESCRIBED METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ERis probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving UNSAFE METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. warnings Kidney CAUTION METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment. warnings Liver CAUTION METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.

You have been prescribed METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER for the treatment of high blood pressure. METCURE -R 2.5/ 5 Tablet ER may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli. Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking this medication. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause a sudden increase in your blood pressure.
