Why do we require Stock allowance?
While pouring the molten metal is pushed outwards towards the mould wall due to the centrifugal force. The Centrifugal force ensures improved density and reduced porosity but can lead to casting skins with higher RMS value sections in the outer surface. To compensate for this we need to provide stock allowance in order to meet your dimensional requirement.
