Late R Ramachandra Rao obtained customs brokerage license in the year 1955 in Chennai. He was a World war veteran having participated in the world war II as part of British Indian Army in Burma. Soon after his discharge from the army in the year 1945, he underwent training on the job of customs clearance from his brother in law. A true army man known for his integrity and sincerity for the job on hand, he always strove for perfection. In the year 1980, his sons joined the firm as his partners. In the year 1992, one of his sons R R Padmanabhan took over the mantle of the firm and steered it towards newer frontiers. From handling only cotton piece goods, the firm diversified into handling engineering goods in the form of machinery, both new and second hand, project cargo, ODC Cargo, leather – both raw, semi-finished and finished and agriculture goods. Imbibing the qualities of their founder, the present management, and operations team aim to provide wholesome satisfactory experience to their clients. The uniqueness of their approach ensures that clients continue to be with them for decades. Naturally, the company grows with their clients.
