De-Super Heaters
De-Super Heaters remove the super heat in the steam that is to be used for auxiliary purposes, the reason is that if high temperature steam was used for auxiliaries then the materials used would have to be capable of with standing high temperatures, this leads to increased initial cost. De-Super Heaters are generally coils situated in the water spaces that are supplied with steam from the superheated section outlet; this type of De-Super Heater is generally called as internal De-Super Heaters. Such an internal De-Super Heater is shown down below.
Another type of external De-Super Heater we manufacture is really part of the boiler externally arranged. It has a steam and water connection to the boiler drum so that the circulation through the De-Super Heater takes place, taking heat from the De-Super Heater steam in the solid drawn steel ‘U’ shaped tubes.
Air Pre-Heaters
An air preheater (APH) is any device designed to heat air before another process (for example, combustion in a boiler) with the primary objective of increasing the thermal efficiency of the process. They may be used alone or to replace a recuperative heat system or to replace a steam coil.
Water Pre-Heaters
A water pre-heater absorbs the flue gas heat into water thus, utilizing the heat from the exhaust gas which would otherwise be wasted. Plant efficiency is therefore further increased when viewed with respect to actual energy content of the fuel.
