Agrasen Sponge Plant Expansion

Agrasen Sponge Private Limited plans a major expansion at their facility in Mandiakudar, P.O. Chungimati, Tehsil Rajgangpur, District Sundargarh. The project includes increasing sponge iron (DRI) capacity from 60,000 TPA to 297,000 TPA, adding an iron ore pellet plant with a capacity of 600,000 TPA, and upgrading billets (SMS) to 66,000 TPA and rolled products (rolling mill) to 132,000 TPA. The expansion will also include a 40 MW CPP (WHRB–20 MW & CFBC–20 MW) and a ferro alloys plant with options for silico manganese (30,000 TPA) or ferro manganese (40,000 TPA).
