The best thing I enjoyed from this tour was learning about the south indian history and cultures related to temples. As a foreigner, I always had a doubt of whether I am being not aporopriate or not following the rules or about temple manners. All of my curiosity had been solved today.
Thank you Kannan

My sister and I had such a wonderful time with Kannan, whose knowledge and storytelling instantly captivated us . We not only explored the temples and silk factories, we got to learn the historical and spiritual significance of the city itself. If you wish to take some magnificent photos, explore and make memories in Kanchipuram, look no further, Kannan is your guide.

It was a very interesting trip. Harri picked us up from our hotel right on time, and on the way to Kanchipuram we stopped for a quick lunch.
The temple visits were fascinating and, luckily, not too crowded. The car rides between the different places were also memorable, we had some great conversations along the way.
The silk weaving process at the factory was interesting, although unfortunately quite short. It quickly led into a showroom where high-quality silk saris were presented for sale.

Next in our agenda is to meet the legendary Silk Saree Weavers of Kanchipuram.
Kanchipuram is renowned for its magnificent Silk Sarees. Silk Sarees are a cultural icon in South India. Ranging in length from 6-9 yards, these Sarees are worn by women during auspicious occasions like a wedding or a birthday. There are more than 5000 families who are into the business of silk weaving. The sarees are weaved from pure mulberry silk thread.
The traditional loom is an incredible machine used by the silk weavers to magically convert the silk threads into a beautiful Kanchipuram Silk Saree.
We will visit one such Weaver and it will be a memorable experience.
