Anmol Prakashan is a reputed book publishing company based in Pune. It was originally called 'Shri Datta & Co', which sold books over the counter at Bhor taluka in Pune district. In 1959, founders of the company -- Shri Padmakar Nandurkar, Shri Madhavrao Nandurkar and Shri Moreshwar Nandurkar -- decided to shift to Pune. Subsequently, they opened a retail shop at Appa Balwant Chowk by the name Anmol Prakashan. As the popularity of the shop grew, the Nandurkar brothers thought of taking one step ahead and entered the world of publication. Their first title was 'M. Law', a book written by B.D.Joshi, which was published in 1962. The success of the book prompted the publishers to diversify as they added volumes on subjects as varied as agriculture, religion, education and art to their repertoire.In a series of efforts aimed at improving quality, 'Anmol Paper Converting' printing press was set up at Kelwad village on Pune-Satara road in 1997. About 50 people, mostly natives, work at the press which boasts of quality printing and binding technology. With over 3,000 titles to its credit, Anmol Prakashan's claim to fame is its wide and diversified readership. Today, we publish books on a wide range of subjects rich in content. From school curriculum to farming; Vedas to cookery; tourism to astrology -- you name it and we have it! Our children's collection could be any youngster's envy.
