The first unit, M/s. Ashok Metal Industries, was established in 1967 to manufacture New Tins for edible oil, vanaspati, and milk powder. It was the first unit to manufacture ISI Quality marked Tins without power. The company also manufactures agriculture implements & stove parts. A special division for Tin making was established in 1970. M/s. Ashok Iron & Steel Fabricators Pvt. Ltd. and M/s. Ashok Stove Pvt. Ltd. were established later. In 1981, the company diversified into Kerosene Wick Stoves with a unique design to conserve fuel and increase heat efficiency. They also developed a unique and safe Kerosene Pressure stove awarded with ISI mark. Ashok Home Appliances Pvt. Ltd. started manufacturing Stainless Steel and Aluminum Household containers and Gas Stoves. Mira Udhyog Appliances Pvt. Ltd. was established as a marketing company for all Ashok Group products. The company also deals in marketing of various types of spices under the name “AJOD”. M/s. Ashok Machine Tools manufactures Tin plant machineries and power-operated machineries like Power Press, Deep Drawing Press, Shearing Machinery, and Roofing Press. They also manufacture furniture making plant (Sheet Metal) and are adding food processing machineries like Chapati Making & Dosa & Idli Making Machine.
