The material finds usage in boilers, tanks, chimneys, pressure vessels, ESP, pipes and ducting. Rockwool Mattresses is a precisely engineered bonded fibres insulation that offers maximum resistance to passage of heat. Rockwool fibres are spun from selected rocks melted at a high temperature and bonded with thermosetting resin. They are then felted in a predetermined fiber lay pattern and are baked to form mattresses of a predetermined density and thickness with uniform fiber distribution. Mattresses are then stitched, slit and chopped to specified dimensions.
