Motor Material - 60% - 1% - Bhagavati AAC blocks are 9 times the size of general bricks resulting in 1/3rd nos of joints with mortar savings of 66%. Plastering Material - 35% - 2% - Exceptional dimensional accuracy & smooth surface eliminates the need of 3 coat plaster walls & allows a final 6 mm skin coat. Wastage - 10% - 0.5% - Breakage in Bricks can be as high as 15% whereas AAC blocks is far lesser or close to nil. Structural Material (Steel & Concrete) - 15% - 6% - Being light weight AAC drastically reduce the dead weight of the building leading to lesser steel & concrete (by upto 20%). Increase in floor area space - 2% - 4% - With exceptional thermal insultation & weather barrier properties thinner blocks can be used increasing the carpet area. Low Environmental Footprint MEGA Block autoclaved aerated concrete products have favorable characteristics for the environment. Low resource, low production impact, low Fire Resistant AAC is classified as a non-combustible building material. It is both resistant to fire up to 1200°C and, unlike other construction materials, heat-resistant. Tests have shown that an AAC fire wall just 150 mm thick can resist at least for six hours. High Thermal Insulation MEGA inherently provides significantly superior thermal insulation as compared to conventional masonry by way of its material, structure, & methodology of use. A bare 9 inch MEGA wall provides the same thermal insulation value as a 106 inch wall made of cement blocks. Acoustic Properties MEGA Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks with their high surface mass coupled with the mechanical vibration energy damping have an STC of up to 45dB, ~7dB higher acoustic insulation value compared to other solid building materials of the same weight. High Strength MEGA Autoclaved aerated concrete block’s solidity comes from the calcium silicate that encloses millions of air pores and from the process of curing in a pressurised steam chamber, giving AAC an unmatchable strength to weight ratio, higher than M 150 concrete. Earthquake Resistant MEGA blocks gain a high level of strength during the manufacturing process, giving durability to the finished structure. Thus, structures made with MEGA AAC blocks are capable of handling higher seismic loads, compared to structures with conventional bricks. Lower Construction Cost As a result of the basic nature of raw material and its properties, there is tangible and intangible reduction in cost by the use of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC). The savings stem from lowered transport, supplementary, labour, energy, and faster construction. Health & Safety Manufactured from freely available natural raw materials, AAC does not contain any toxic substances such as chemicals or volatile compounds that could be harmful. The manufacturing process emits no pollutants and creates no by-products or toxic waste products. Pest Resistant With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer, if any, cavities for insects and rodents to dwell in. Termites and ants do not eat or nest in AAC. Being made up of inorganic minerals, it does not promote growth of molds
