Bhagwati Steel Cast Private Limited

Mr. M.K. Agarwal and Mr. S.C. Agarwal started this group in the year 1984 by installing a rolling mill unit in Guwahati, Assam to manufacture reinforcement bars under the name ‘Bhagwati Steel Cast Limited’ with a capacity of 12,000 MT per annum. The prime objective since then was quality and upgradation. Therefore a melting furnace was installed to cater to the rolling mill and stand apart from the competition under the name ‘Gemson Melt Private Limited’ in the year 1987. Further expansion lead to an installation of one more melting furnace to completely feed the Rolling Mill in the 1990. After establishing in the eastern part of the country, the group company ‘Bhagwati Steel Cast Ltd.’extended its arm in the western region by establishing a melting furnace in Nasik, Maharashtra in the year 1995 with a capacity of 14,400 MT of M.S. Ingots. The capacity was doubled in the year 1998-99. Finally, after ensuring the quality of its raw material, a high speed automatic Rolling Mill with a capacity of 48,000 MT to manufacture CTD bars was set up in the same premises in the year 2001. Also further expansion took place in the furnace division increasing its capacity to 36,000 MT of M.S. Ingot.Since its origin, ‘Quality’ & ‘Continuous upgradation’ are the main objective of the group. Therefore to give a better product to their consumer, they stopped manufacturing CTD in 2004 and gave an international quality product ‘Thermo Mechanically Treated’ bars manufactured through international patented ‘Tempcore’ technology of CRM, Belgium. After receiving a tremendous response from the market and continuous demand, the group entered the Gujarat market in 2004 by establishing a unit in Silvassa to manufacture TMT bars through international patented ‘Thermex’ technology of HSE, Germany with a capacity of 72,000 MT per annum. Today, the group is producing more than 132,000 metric tonnes of TMT bars annually. In India, manufacturers offer either ‘Thermex’ or ‘Tempcore’ TMT bars. Our group is the first in India to offer both the international patented technologies.
