Anthracite Coal

Being made up entirely from carbon, this coal is way too harder in respect to the other forms of coal. This coal is majorly extracted from mountains or deep valleys. Anthracite coal has the quality of being much cleaner coal which it burns, in comparison to the other forms of available coal. This is because of its low pollutant content. In terms of figures, Anthracite may contain 91% to 98% pure carbon, and merely 2% to 9% are some other elements. Particularly this coal is difficult to ignite and burns with a smokeless blue flame. This fuel is majorly utilized as a reduction agent for several applications namely briquette charcoal, iron ore pellets and other such uses. This is the right fuel for power stations.
