What is an Induction Tempered Wire?
Induction is the process of transferring energy from one place to another and when we talk about an induction tempered wire, the meaning of induction remains the same. The making of induction tempered wire is done so that its strength, ductility, sag resistance and other such mechanical properties can be increased. It is important to achieve this goal because it is hard to imagine a mechanical object which requires a wire for its proper functioning but that wire does not have the strength to carry out the processes of that machine efficiently. An induction tempered wire is made by subjecting a normal wire to oil tempering by the means of electric energy or gas for heating and oil or water for quenching.
