The development of energy from renewable sources has installed capacity 1.5MW captures the attention of the policy maker's worldwide, and India is no exception to it. In line with the Govt. of India and Govt. of Maharashtra Policies for energy generation, Krishna Valley Power Private Limited (KVPPL), a company primarily founded to develop Hydro Power Projects on BOO basis is registered under the Indian Companies Act (1956), and has identified a site for hydro power development in Maharashtra State. The site for the proposed project has been identified on the Bhatsa River approximately 15 km downstream of the Bhatsa Dam and approximately 9 km downstream of existing Vajra-II Project, and located near village Khutghar in Taluka Shahapur, District Thane, Maharashtra State.
