Pitless Weighbridge

Pitless Weighbridges, also known as Surface Mounted Weighbridges are constructed over the level of the road surface. They do not require a pit for installation and require sloped ramps to allow vehicles to access the weighbridge. This type of weighbridge is ideal for places where excavation work for a foundation is challenging or the construction of a pit is expensive. Since these structures are above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from directions in which the ramps are provided. Construction of this type of weighbridge requires more space.
