Description
Pitless Weighbridges, also known as Surface Mounted Weighbridges are constructed over the level of the road surface. They do not require a pit for installation and require sloped ramps to allow vehicles to access the weighbridge. This type of weighbridge is ideal for places where excavation work for a foundation is challenging or the construction of a pit is expensive. Since these structures are above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from directions in which the ramps are provided.
