Oakwood Vineyards was founded in 2007 by Amit Keval, an alcohol technologist who studied oenology and viticulture in Bordeaux, France. With a vision to bring Elevage du Vin (wine maturation) to India, Amit, along with his brother Sanjay, established the family venture. Initially focused on providing 100% barrel-aged bulk wines to independent brand owners in India and overseas, Oakwood Vineyards scaled its production considerably over the years. Under the mentorship of Chairman Uttam Keval and stewardship of CEO Amit Keval, the company launched its first indigenous brand, Bella Rouge, and later shifted its focus to crafting Oakwood-owned wines for the local market.
