Rauschert India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. A-35 & 36 in the Pipdic Indl. Estate at Sedarapet. It is a bit of a drive out of the main part of Pondicherry, but it is where all the industrial work happens. Our plots are quite large, and we have a lot of equipment spread out across the floors. We do manufacturing here, mostly technical stuff that requires a lot of precision. The air in Sedarapet is usually quite humid, so we have to be careful with how we store some of the materials. The staff here is a mix of local people and some who have moved from further away. We do not have any fancy decorations in the break room or the office area. It is all very functional. You will see people in work clothes moving between the different sections of the factory all day. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, there are boxes and components everywhere. The machines make a lot of noise, so you get used to speaking a bit louder than usual. We do not really do sales from this location; it is strictly for making things. Most days are about hitting the numbers we need for the week. We have a gatekeeper who knows everyone by name, and that makes it feel a bit more like a community than just a cold factory. It is a long day, but it feels good when the trucks are finally loaded and we can close up for the night.
