It is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) used to prevent blood clots that are sometimes called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can lead to blood clots in the lungs. also pulmonary embolism (PE) including during pregnancy and following certain types of surgery. Enoxaparin Injection it takes a few hours to reach acceptable levels in the body. So it works fairly quickly when used to prevent blood clots from forming.
