The materials used for casting the working layer in the production and mechanical properties are listed below: Rolls for section mills with a barrel diameter from 200 mm to 1400 mm, a barrel length 250 mm to 3000 mm and weight from 0,2 t to 45,0 t. These rolls are cast from alloyed pearlitic and bainitic cast iron with nodular graphite. The materials used for production of the rolls and mechanical properties are listed below: Manufacturing Process The rolls for Hot strip mills and Sleeves are from centrifugal casting technique. And rolls for Section mills are stationary cast. All rolls are further heat treated depending on the material and as per customer requirements by Hardening; Normalizing; Tempering. Then they are further machined on CNC machines as per customer's drawings Quality Check of Cast Iron Rolls Quality control is carried out at all stages of production. Following checks are conducted and reported in the TEST CERTIFICATE as per customer requirement Spectral chemical analysis; Thermographic analysis; Temperature control; Ultrasonic control; Microstructural analysis; Residual austenite measurement; Hardness measurement; Residual stresses measurement; Mechanical properties tests; Dimensional accuracy control
