The Dhanuka family's entrepreneurial journey began in 1920, when severe droughts in their hometown of Ratangarh, Rajasthan compelled Shri Durga Prasad Dhanuka to relocate to Delhi, where he set up a small cloth business in Katra Nawab, Chandani Chowk. His son, the late Shri Chiranjilal Dhanuka, continued the enterprise, building on the family's founding principles of unity, trust and integrity. The mantle then passed to Dr. RG Agarwal, a visionary whose mammoth aspirations took root in his humble beginnings. A graduate of the Shri Ram College of Commerce, he conceived a vision that diverged from the family's cloth business, setting the stage for a new venture. Accompanied by his brother, Shri MK Dhanuka, he decided to foray into the agriculture sector. Recognizing South India as a promising market due to its high demand for agrochemicals, the brothers established a modest office in Begum Bazar, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, marking their entry into the agrochemical sector. Their commitment to long term growth led to a pivotal decision: to manufacture agrochemicals under their own brand. This resolve led to the acquisition of Northern Minerals in Gurugram, Haryana, instrumental in the formation of Dhanuka Agritech Pvt. Ltd. Building on these foundational steps, Dhanuka has flourished, transforming from a humble cloth business into a prominent force in the Indian agricultural sector. Today, with a robust presence across various states like Gujarat, Rajasthan and Jammu Kashmir, Dhanuka continues to empower farmers and contribute significantly to India's agricultural landscape. The company honours the legacy of its founders while forging a path toward future growth and sustainability with Mr. Rahul Dhanuka and Mr. Harsh Dhanuka poised to lead the company into its next successful chapter.
