HOW VAB WORKS
Vacuum aluminium brazing is a high-end joining technology because it results in parts with extremely strong joints and with no residual corrosive flux. It is a process in which two base metals, such as aluminium plates, are joined together using a filer metal that has a melting point below that of the base metal. The filler metal, also lnown as a braze alloy, is drawn into the closely mated parallel surfaces of the aluminium plates by capillary action.
ADVANTAGES OF PFHX
It can withstand very high continuous pressure up to 40 bar. Structural rigidity under extremities (robust construction). Maximize engine performance and extent life reliability. Avoid expensive and untimely mechanical failure. Availability of varieties of standard extruded parts for selection of different air fins & oil / water galleries configuration. Possibility of quick modification product (HX) to suit customer requirement due to flexible manufacturing system.
DESIGN FEATURES OF BAR & PLATE
High efficiency cooling systems made from aluminium. Can work in high pressure with high performance. Bar & plate construction brazing with vacuum furnace. High heat transfer with low weight structure. Uniform thermal conductivity.
WHY VAB FURNACE
Extremely clean parts with no residual corrosive flux due to the flux-free process (unlike cab). The vacuum furnace can ensure reaching the melting temperature with extreme precision and without over-shoot. The problems of resistance to oxidation and corrosion of the alloy itself becomes negligible in the vacuum furnace. Brazing is simple and easy in a vacuum furnace due to the nature of the vacuum. Heat is evenly distributed and part production is consistent. Ability to fill long, otherwise inaccessible joints. Minimal distortion due to uniform heating and cooling.no furnace deterioration during processing.
