Andhra Electronics Limited

Andhra Electronics Pvt Limited (AEL) was established in 1977 primarily to manufacture Quartz Crystals for the US Citizen Band Radio. Commercial truckers and drivers used CB radios extensively, it was the internet of that period. Andhra Electronics Limited continued to manufacture crystals for various timing requirements such as microprocessors until mid 1980s, at which time Clock oscillators were manufactured for the first time in India. From early 1990s AEL started manufacture of precision oscillators such as Temperature compensated Crystal Oscillators (TCXO) and Oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) as well as crystal filters. AEL became the largest Frequency control and Frequency selection company in mid 90s and was Telecoms, Space and Military markets in India and around the world. From early 2000, a division to manufacture RF & Microwave products was started and in 2020 a lab was established in Bangalore to cater to the Défense and space requirements. AEL has been an innovative and a high-rel company for the past 45 years and has continued to profitable since inception.
