The Textile Manufacturers Association was started in the Year 1936 under the dynamic leadership of Shri Diwan. C. Mehra and subsequently it was led by Shri Shori Lal Kapoor, Shri Bal Kishan Munjal, Shri Rishi Ram Aggarwal, Shri Gurdial Singh Uppal, Shri Hari Kishan Khanna. It flourished under the leadership of Shri Pyara Lal Kapoor, Shri Shanti Lal Khanna, Shri Om Parkash Mehra, Shri Panna Lal Mahajan, Shri Chiman Lal Seth, Shri Brij Mohan Munjal, Shri Hardit Singh Makhni and Shri Tarlok Chand Khanna. T.M.A was instrumental in development of Textile Industry in Amritsar and also helped in its growth, regular representations to Central and State Goverments and meetings with high officials has really helped our industry. We are the member of all the big Associations of India and regular updates of Government are sent to members. We provide regular education to the industrialists for the modernization of the infrastructure and machinery through seminars and webinars. We have been making representations to Central Government and Punjab Government for the upliftment of the textile industry and to get relief on varoius compliances for border zones.
