Coating: Calcium Stearate & Poly capro lactone & surface coating material; polaxamer 188 Mode and Duration of absorption: Absorption occurs by slow hydrolysis in the presence of tissue fluids and the low pH of an infection minimally increases the rate of suture absorption, by 15 days it has lost more than 80% of its original strength, by 28 days it retains only 5% of its original strength and it is completely dissolved by 90 to 120 days. Material Color & its specification: Violet, and D&C Violet (US FDA approved dye).
