For the past four decades, BMC has successfully engaged in technology consultancy, manufacturing, service and tailor made solutions of medium voltage switchgears, instrument transformers and various cast resin components. BMC is the first SME in India to have been certified by DSIR (Dept. of science & Industry Research) as an R&D centre for MV switchgear . BMC was the brainchild of a visionary technocrat, Late Mr. Santanu Mitra, who founded the organisation in 1986. The present leadership consists of four technocrat directors: Mr. Subodh Kr. Banerjee (Co-Founder & Chairman), Mr. Rajiv Bhargava (Technical Director), Mr. Girish V. Magre (Senior Director), Mr. Siddhartha Mitra, (Senior Director). Two engineers, Mr. Samrat Banerjee (Senior M.R.) and Mr. Saptarshi Mitra (M.R.), execute the role of Management Representatives on behalf of the leadership. BMC has a combined workforce of 150 plus employees comprising of graduate engineers, technical supervisors & skilled workmen, engaged in innovation & technology enhancement of power systems equipment.
