Established in 1985, Canpex Group of Companies is involved in a wide array of product & services catering to a wide range of industries. Canpex Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. Is the flagship company and is the world's largest manufacturer of Guanidine Nitrate having production capacity of 4,800 TPA. This product is mainly exported to South Africa, Belgium, Japan and South Korea. Promoted by Mr. Subhash Mutha, a techno-commercial wizard who ventured in to this field after gaining a rich experience of a decade in chemical trading and chemical transportation. The company started with manufacturing of Ammonium Nitrate with specific demand from mining industry. Later Canpex went into product diversification by commencing production of Guanidine Nitrate. The plant for this product was based on Batch process and having a capacity of 600 tonnes per annum (TPA). Gradually the production capacity of Guanidine Nitrate was increased and it started being exported in large quantities. After a major mishap at out factory near Pune, We built the plant at a new location on "Continuous Process" basis. In addition, the company went for fully automated plant with all necessary control loops, interlocks and back-up provisions. The new plant was commissioned in 2002. To increase the product range, Canpex has chosen backward intergration. The Research & Development team completed laboratory tralls and pilot plant of 48% Hydrogen Cyanamide solution in 2003. Based on this, the project team commissioned 2 TDP plant for 48% Hydrogen Cyanamide solution in 2005 with capacity of 600 MT per annum. The product has been very well accepted by Pharma consumers as well as the Agro Industry.
