Electrode Paste

Carbon Electrode Paste, is a self-baking carbonaceous product, made using carbon aggregate and coal tar pitch binder. It’s primarily used in submerged arc furnace for manufacturing ferro alloys, calcium carbide and some other products. Carbon Electrode pastes is added to the electrode column of submerged arc furnace. It melts due to the heat, bakes and finally the electrode is formed. The electrode, a good conductor of electricity, delivers energy to charge mix in the furnace for smelting.
