Celtek Batteries Private Limited is one of the leading lead acid storage battery manufacturers in India. The company's journey began in 1969 when the late Chairman, Mr. A. Govindan, floated Mysore Thermo Electric Industries under the A.G. Group. Initially, Mysore Thermo Electric Private Limited manufactured Microporous PVC Battery Separators. In 1978, the company diversified to manufacture lead-acid industrial batteries and exported them under the brand name CELTEK to USSR (Russia). To further expand, the A.G. Group established Celtek Batteries Private Limited in 1989 to manufacture lead-acid batteries under the 'CELTEK' brand for the Indian market.
