Starting from humble beginnings, Mr. Bansal has built this conglomerate through his continuous endeavors, hard work, and years of dedication as an entrepreneur and an industrialist. The Bansal Group under the leadership of Shri. Sohanlal Bansal father of our chairman Mr. Laxman Bansal has always been an Iron & Steel Trading Business house since 1940’s operating in Mumbai & Punjab during that era with its first office in Mumbai at Bibijan Street, Nagdevi. The Bansal family were the first few recyclers in India when Ship Recycling was being carried out at Mumbai during 1950’s headed by the father of our chairman. The family expanded its business portfolio and added Forging of Iron & Steel in the 1971. The family expanded its Forging business and Started a new Factory at MIDC Taloja in 1979 under the name of BANSAL METAL INDUSTRIES. With the Ship Recycling Industry shifting from the crowded and congested space of Mumbai to Alang, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Bansal Group were one of the key initiators and started its Recycling facility at Plot No. 32. The Ship Recycling Industry being in the high growth curve, the family further expanded it to Sachana, Jamanagar, Gujarat in the year 1984 where it went on to become the largest Ship Recycler at Sachana Ship Breaking Yard. In 1992, the group expanded its business to start a Steel Service Center for Cut to Length of Steel Coils at Taloja MIDC, Mumbai. The group under the guidance and leadership of its chairman started Imports and Trading of Prime Finished Steel Products in 2013. Today the Bansal Group of Companies are a reputed and an established business conglomerate in the Iron & Steel Industry with an Industry presence of more than 70 years.
