Juicy Chemistry was born of Pritesh and Megha Asher’s relentless ability to question everything they knew about the world of beauty and personal care. Right from when they founded Juicy back in 2014, they’ve completely transformed the landscape of organic and natural personal care, just by asking the right questions every step of the way. It’s because of this superpower of theirs that they’ve managed to put together a truly efficacious range of 100% organic and natural products. For Pritesh and Megha, it all started somewhat close to home. Megha had sensitive skin which was prone to acne owing to PCOD, and for over a decade she struggled with trying to find the right fix for it. As a last resort, she tried going down the organic route. One day, Pritesh and Megha were just about to purchase a few ‘organic’ products, when Pritesh noticed something that surprised him. He looked at the back of the pack and noticed that most of the ingredients were refined versions of raw materials found in the manufacturing of petroleum products. From that moment onwards, both Pritesh and Megha realised that no one had questioned what Organic really means. And even though every second brand claimed to be organic, no one really was. They asked themselves many tough questions from that day on. They questioned organic ingredients, their sourcing, organic product formulations, and efficacy. However, the most important question they asked was - ‘Why can’t we do things differently?’. Juicy Chemistry aims to help everyone find the answers to their skin concerns, and we believe that the answer lies in nature. We’ve diligently spent time and effort in trying to understand the physical and chemical properties of each and every ingredient we’ve used. Over several years, we’ve worked hard to make sure to question how best to bring nature to our customers in its most unadulterated form, from soil-to-shelf. We seek out the right source. We learned early on that of all the things we questioned, one of the most important is the source itself. Finding the right ingredient also means finding where it grows best, no matter where on Earth that may be. The right environment makes all the difference to the quality and efficacy of our products. After all, any product is only as good as the ingredients used to make them. When it comes to soil, we dig deep. We scour the world to find Organic-approved farms that cultivate their ingredients with care. We steer clear of GMOs, pesticides, and fertilisers, and deeply appreciate it when farming remains the way it’s meant to be. Thankfully the Earth always gives us the answers we’re looking for, as long as you look in the right places. We like to keep it fresh. We don’t suck the life out of things. Our questioning doesn’t exclude production processes. Sourcing the right ingredients is the easy part, but making sure they don’t lose their essence by the time they touch your skin, is a whole other battle. We asked ourselves, ‘How do we keep the potency of our ingredients intact?’. Turns out, where there’s a will, there’s a gentler way. We only use processes like cold-pressing, steam distillation, sedimentation, and natural filtration on our botanicals. At Juicy Chemistry, no botanical is over-processed, and no goodness goes to waste. Our processes are eco-friendly, and any waste generated gets reused or repurposed. We hydrate only when we must. Water isn’t really necessarily helpful everywhere. We question where water is needed, and where it isn’t. Thanks to this, a sizable share of our formulations are water-free, which allows for better potency, efficacy, and a longer preservative-free shelf life. It’s questioning the little things as such that often lead us to be the best (water-free) solutions. Certifiably Organic. Certifiably honest. It’s important to us to never make empty claims. That’s why we sought out Organic certification under ECOCERT’s COSMOS standard. We undergo rigorous testing and audits at regular intervals to ensure all our processes, formulations, and practices are worthy of the coveted badge of being ECOCERT-certified organic. We do this all for each and every one of our consumers, so that they can rest-assured they’re getting nothing short of Organic at its best. Good to humans and planets alike. We pride ourselves on being eco-conscious to the core. Everything from our sourcing, manufacturing, packaging and much more, is undoubtedly environmentally friendly. We consciously question our choices, and constantly find new ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Since we bring the best of nature to people, we wanted to show the Earth a better side of humankind.
