Since 1947, Kalsi Group is a leading manufacturer of Submersible Pumpsets, Monoblock pumpsets and Electric Motors under the brand name "KALSI". The company has a widespread sales network having dealers and distributors spread all over India. The Kalsi Group traces its roots back to 1947 when the patriarch of the Kalsi Empire, Late S. Maghar Singh Kalsi, a first-generation entrepreneur, shifted from Lahore to Jalandhar during the partition of undivided India. S. Maghar Singh Kalsi laid the foundation of Kalsi Group when he established a hand pump manufacturing unit in Jalandhar, with his hard-earned resources and incentives provided by the government of India to those displaced during the partition. This venture was a departure from his prior experience in manufacturing electric fans in Lahore, however his unwavering commitment to producing best quality products propelled the business to resounding success. Through innovative manufacturing techniques, hard work and resolve to deliver quality products to his customers, S. Maghar Singh Kalsi transformed KALSI brand into a household name in India, known for its exceptional quality and reliability. Kalsi Group's decision to venture into centrifugal pumps in the early 1960s was driven by the high demand for irrigation pumps during India's Green Revolution and was supported by the encouragement of customers and dealers. The inclusion of centrifugal pumps in the company's product line proved to be a significant milestone in the company's history, paving the way for future growth and success. Kalsi Group faced a major setback with the untimely demise of S. Maghar Singh Kalsi in 1971. His four sons rose to the challenge and continued his legacy of hard work, dedication to quality, and customer satisfaction. Today, the Kalsi Group is recognized as one of the largest pump manufacturers in North India, with a diverse product range that includes submersible pumpsets, monoblock pumps, centrifugal pumps, domestic pumps, reflux valves, electric motors, rigid uPVC pipes, Column pipes, bathroom fittings, and water lifting apparatus for the Indian Railways. The Kalsi Group's unwavering commitment to manufacturing quality products has been recognized by various state governments, public sector units, and customers. The company has received numerous awards, including the National Award for Quality Products for Electric Motors in 1988, the National Award for Quality Products for Centrifugal Pumps in 1994 and 2002, and the National Award for Manufacturing Outstanding Quality Products for Submersible Pumps in 2010.
